Girls Just Wanna Have S’mores: A Tent Camping Weekend to Remember

There’s something special about getting away from it all with your closest girlfriends, and nothing beats the pure joy of a weekend under the stars. Our recent girls' tent camping trip was the perfect mix of relaxation, laughter, adventure, and just enough “roughing it” to remind us how strong (and fun) we really are.

Why a Tent Camping Girls Weekend?

Sometimes we need more than brunch or a spa day to reconnect. Nature offers space to breathe, chat without distractions, and test our comfort zones—in a good way. Tent camping was our choice because it stripped everything down to the essentials: good friends, fresh air, and a campfire.

The Setup: Planning & Packing

We kept things simple. Each person was responsible for bringing their own tent, sleeping gear, and personal items. We coordinated meals in advance, making sure to cover everyone’s dietary preferences (hello, plant-based foil packets and s'mores alternatives!). A shared Google Doc helped keep us organized.

Packing Tips:

  • Don’t forget layers—mountain nights get chilly.

  • Headlamps over flashlights every time.

  • Baby wipes are a lifesaver.

  • Always bring more snacks than you think you’ll need.

Campground Vibes

We picked a scenic, female-friendly campground with clean facilities and easy hiking trails. Our spot was nestled among tall trees with a clear view of the sky. The soundtrack of the weekend? Birdsong by day, fire crackles and laughter by night.

The Fun Stuff

Morning Coffee & Chill:There’s nothing like sipping fresh camp coffee in your hoodie while the sun rises and someone starts the playlist.

Hiking & Exploring:We did a moderate trail to a waterfall, stopping for group photos, trail snacks, and a little trail yoga. Nothing serious—just enough to feel refreshed.

Campfire Conversations:This was where the magic happened. Wrapped in blankets, wine in hand (yes, we packed cans), we shared stories, dreams, fears, and belly laughs. No filters. No distractions. Just real talk.

DIY Spa Time:One afternoon was dedicated to “Camp Spa Hour.” Think face masks, lavender oil foot soaks in collapsible tubs, and scalp massages under the trees. Total vibe.

The Takeaway

Our girls’ tent camping weekend was more than a fun escape—it was a reminder of how healing nature, friendship, and unplugged time can be. We left refreshed, reconnected, and already planning the next one.

Tips for Your Own Girls' Camping Weekend:

  • Choose a spot with a mix of comfort and nature (bonus if it has bathrooms!).

  • Keep meals simple but delicious—think chili, quesadillas, overnight oats.

  • Plan one or two group activities but

    leave space for free time.

  • Bring card games, portable speakers, and a camera.

  • Most of all—make it your own. No rules, just good vibes.
